For this six-bedroom house south of the highway, we took advantage of the tall ceilings and wide rooms to create a spare elegant interior. Rearranging the interior on the ground floor allowed us to open up the plan for connection of day room to great room and dining to living room. Extensive exterior modifications were made to the deck, garden, terraces and landscaping with all new lighting. The center hearth volume was covered in sandy Venetian plaster. The poolhouse was all Americana and works as an indoor/outdoor space. In addition, two favorable outdoor rooms were constructed, a shower and fire pit area.
